julie & julia

akirnyaa..setelah sekian lama pingin nonton ini, kemaren nonton juga. the story is about a girl name Julie who lived in years of 2000. she was inspired by Julia Child, a cook book writer about French food for Americans. Julia was said to be the person who taught Americans how to cook. 365 days 524 recipes. That's Julie's goal. it's a really nice movie. the settings, the actresses and actors (especially meryl streep), the characters, and the storyline of Julia Child. I just don't know why i don't like the story of Julie itself :\

anyway, this movie is based on a chick lit novel. and i love the book cover quite much. it's simple but there's something good on it to make you wanna read it. :D but again, based on my essay, good or not chick lit book cover is really personal. based on everyone's taste and preferences. but i agree with one of my respondents that this one has an appealing book cover design. hehehe. but if the story is the same with the movie, yes i can't disagree to say that it doesn't have such a good content. story about Julie isn't maybe passionate and soulful enough. dunno :\

besides Julia Child, this one is my favorite character. it's Julia's husband. his name is Paul. he's lovely, always supported Julia on whatever she's doing. he's understanding and just sweet. he's not maybe the most handsome guy in this movie, but who needs face when you have something greater than that? :)

and this is Julia's kitchen. i love this kitchen soooo much! really comfortable to just sit and take a cup of coffee with a good book. ahhhh perfect! :D anyway Julia always had a nice home everywhere she went. great! :)

Paul Child: What is it you REALLY like to do?
Julia Child: Eat!
