it's on of the series of traveling solo series by Bettina Guthridge. it's my fave muse to do illustration and also to travel and see the world. one of my fave books when i was a kid. i found it in gramedia bookstore and bought one home. and i feel in love at once i read it. the contents, the illustration and the information given. well, i do realize that i love traveling and all other different things in every different countries in the world. besides my father taught me not to be afraid of differences since i was very young.. and here i am with my biggest dream. i really wanna go around indonesia and make something like this about indonesia. about different cultures and identity in every provinces. i realize that indonesia is very rich in differences and cultures, but me as indonesian citizen even didn't have much interesting source of the topic. hopefully, i'll give them enough source to love and appreciate what we have in indonesia :)

i was opening one of my fave websites, printnpattern.blogspot.com and find this amazing book in one of their postings. and like..seriously this is the most beautiful thing i've ever seen!!! Le Tour Du Monde De Mouk ( Around the World with Mouk ) by Marc Boutavant is a children illustration book originated from france. with my big passion in illustration, how can i resist this beautiful thing?? i hope one of bookstores here have this book. the price isn't really expensive but the shipping is quite expensive though. i have seen in on amazone.co.uk and amazone.com the price is kinda the same. there're to types, paperback and hardcover. and i'm officially 21 years old! hahaha..it's not the number that matters, it's the moment i have for the whole day! :D my friends gave me a surprise birthday party after 12 midnight. yes i know they're making something, but be in the moment is one of the most amazing feelings! to see that you're loved so much by people you love too :) people asked me about my wish, well it's no fancy wish, it's a big thanks for the most amazing 21 years of my life, including all people that have appeared in my life. all the lessons learned. all the teachers, friends, foes, everyone. they make myself today :) happy happy happy! :D "friends are family you choose"

bengong2 padahal harusnya ngerjain yg buat tutor besok. tpi entah bagaimana ceritanya saya malas. hehehe. bikin2 pattern sama bikin layout buat tissue boxnya gloria. besok pagi tutor. buat yg siang juga belom nyari ebooknya. hmm..apaan yah jd lupa disuruh nyari apa. entah gimana ceritanya ngga niat banget semester ini. kelamaan libur kah? hemmm :\ seharian feelingnya ngga enak. okeh ngga full sharian sih tpi sering banget berasa ga enak badan dan lain2. hadehhh ada2 ajah. by the way i'll turn 21 tomorrow. hahaa. jd pingin balik ke werners nempelin id gue di jidatnya si door guard. meskipun mungkin ngga salah2 amad tpi nyebelin ajah :\ last year i was in bali. huff...miss those moments :) andai aja idup itu bisa auto record. pingin nonton lagi ulang taun setaun lalu :D dinyanyiin dan ditepukin orang sejalanan. hahahha. hemm..abis submit artworks buat tigerprint competition lagi :) skarang lagi bikin children vehicle illustration. hope for the best! *finger crossed* :D gara2 bikin it...

i hate the feeling when i'm at my lowest point. because no one can save me but myself. while i'm not capable even to do so. instead, i see myself drowning, deeper and deeper into my own thoughts and feelings. i hate it when i just try to bear than do something. while i try so hard to lift myself and my heart up, know that there's no other hand to reach my hand, and tell me that everything will be fine once again..in the end there's only me with my thought and my heart. all over again.

the hectic weeks have started all over again..is planning for the final multimedia exhibition with the whole class. now we're doing the logo. still creating few options. okay, there're quite a lot of things to make for this semester. we have to make the exhibition happen and have to make our showreel (interactive portfolio). well, it'll be busy busy days. i have seen the examples of showreel from the graduated students, and i wanna jump from the window at once. great animation, 3d, and everything that is so multimedia. and i still feel that i'm not so multimedia person. oh damn. and it's a hectic time even in making the logo. pheww..i hope everything will go just as well. and, i got a project to redesign premier tissue packaging. the concept has been approved by my lecture and now it's time to execute the design. still has nothing on my mind. lalala~ it's week 4 already, and i forgot how's the situation on previous semesters. hemm..i think i didn't s...

so..after waiting for 2 days, i'm watching this movie! hahaa..waktu itu nonton separo di rumahnya alia. and it's one of those epic movies. and now i've watched it full. yey! and yes, it's splendid! i love the characters, the story line, and the spirit that has been carrying inside the movie! okay, i may not have marvelous words to describe it, blame my lame vocab. hehehe. basically it tells us about one pirate radio named radio rock. it happened in uk around 1967. the pirate radio plays pop and rock and roll all day and night long while the others only played it around 45 mins a day. and yet, the british love the radio. it proves that the 'frigid' also has soul too. :P but the government wanted to shut them down, because from their point of view, rock and roll and pop were for the rebellions who'd 'destroy' the oh so well being country at that time. it's actually enjoyed by a lot of people from a lot of social levels..and it can't be shut dow...

well, errmm..i'm wide awake in the middle of the night. not really wide awake, just feel the needs to spill out few paragraphs. hehehe. so..i've been thinking about what i'm gonna do after graduation. well, so far my big plan is..i'm gonna work for few years somewhere around malaysia, singapore, or coming back to bali. no jakarta please, fed up with the city already. hehehee.. then after 2-3 years, i wanna go to london and learn about print and pattern design. that's something i always interest about. a lot of details and repetitive pattern. ahh i just love that. at least, i wanna know how to do it and do something about it. found a course in introduction to surface design in city lit . £ 115 for 5 meetings. quite interesting..but again, pretty expensive too after i calculate it. then, maybe if i wanna come back again to jakarta, i'll take master degree in children book illustration at anglia ruskin . i know the uni because my current uni has somekind of partne...

have just talked with one of my friends here. one of the topics is about the future. what are we gonna do after the graduation. we're both unsure about what to do. we know the big plan, but realize in reaching certain level, we'll face problems and everything. yeah, normal thing to happen. me..what do i wanna do? i have the whole big plan in my mind. for 1 or 2 years, i wanna work here, or singapore, or maybe bali. just don't wanna come back to jakarta yet, except there's an interesting offer waiting for me. hehee. but so far jakarta is so unappealing for me. maybe the fee is the same with jakarta, but i'm willing to live in bali more than jakarta. haha. and i don't know when but i wanna go to uk and learn about surface pattern. related to pattern etc. i really love that kind of thing, since i'm crazy about details. and i was born at the country where batik was born. that's something i wanna do later on. i still believe that printing, 2d, and something t...

so yayyyyyyy! i finally see the book cover of my collaboration with ryu! :D it's published by talikata publishing in indonesia. it's still in the book fair but it'll be distributed to gramedia jabodetabek soon :D can't waitttttt!!!! well, it was, at first, my college project. i decided to make a children picture book. i asked my friend, ryu tri (she's a children book author in indonesia) to make the story and i'd make the illustration. i was doing the whole thing within 1 week with no proper sleep at all and can't concentrate with any other project than this. so, it was 1 full of dedicated week. hehe. when i finished it, it's like i won something so precious like 500 meters sprint (i hate running). so you can imagine how happy i was. haha. relieved too :P i showed my friend the final result and she loved it so much. i asked her whether we should publish it in real life or not. she said she'd show it to her boss. the boss likes it. so here we are :D i...

so yeah, it's the sequel of before sunrise. jesse and celine met again after 9 years. they didn't meet up again after 6 months because of one or two things. then they continued their live. jesse is married with one kid. celine is still single with a photojournalist boyfriend. they met again in paris on jesse book tour. he wrote about their one night in vienna and it became a bestseller. after all those years, they found each other, and once again, they had little time to spent together. they're growing up already so the dialogue has changed. but with the same level of interest and excitement, maybe even more. we can see that their way of thinking and how they act have changed a little bit more. for me the dialogues are even more interesting than the first movie. well, reality checks. haha. i've just realized that there are a lot of dialogues in this movie, and not everything is easy to be understood. but it's still very interesting. i can find myself in both of the ...

i have watched this movie. it has great story, actors and actresses, storyline, and topic. i haven't really seen much about vienna, but from few scenes, i still love European cities :D for it's buildings and places. so the story is basically about one american guy who met a french girl on a train to vienna. they just met each other, talked for a while, and felt somekind of connection between two of them. so they decided to got off at vienna and had a day together. it's kinda amazing how they're attracted to each other in very natural way. even at the awkward and sweet moments. they fought once too, argued. but then again they're fine together. i like the dialogues so much. they sound like normal people, not like a perfect character from somewhere else who's visiting earth. they have their own fear, dreams, way of thinking, and everything. i'm sorry but sometimes i feel that character on movies are just character, not something to be real. but this one, it...

have just finished watching this movie..and it's officially my first french movie that i watch till the end :D it's interesting movie, but french movie is still weird..hahaa.. it's about one girl name amelie poulain with her interesting way of living. she's maybe a little bit weird and has her own mind to do things. but she believes in what she's doing, which is great. she's helping people around her, quoted from the movie, she has right to mess her own life if she wants to. interesting :D but in the end she finally be together with one guy, who shares the same unique character too. nice couple :D and audrey tautou was doing great in this movie. bravo! *cheering

have just watched this movie..it's french movie anyway and has marion cotillard starring. she's one of my fave actresses by the way. beautifully amazing :D even she's not the main character, it's audrey tautou. it tells about one woman searching for her fiancee that went to war. she's investigated many people and did many things only to get to know whether her fiancee is still alive or not. happy ending by the way. but the journey isn't easy. and this movie needs you to watch very carefully to understand the story. and to be honest i didn't really get what's going on on every scene. nice ending though :) and below is my fave scene, when mathilde went to the graveyard. looks all the crosses along the hill. sad, but nice scene :)

it's another family movie. ngga sengaja ketemu di hbo pas lagi nangkring di rumah alia. bagus sihhh scara robert de niro gituh. the story is about a father who has 4 all grown up kids. he always thinks that everybody's fine and everything's alright. until one day after his wife died, they wanna gather together. but all of sudden all of his children cancel the appointment. so they're going to see them one by one instead. and he finds out many things. everything seems to be fine, but it doesn't actually. all his children are lying about one thing. but in the end the father knows about all of it. there's actually nothing's wrong at everybody. they're just trying to protect each other, and for sure their father. and the father only wants his children to be successful people and be happy with their own life. just sometimes, as a father, he has different way with the mother. it's a nice lovely movie for the whole family. at least to learn about that thing....

i watched it last night at my friend's home, and yes it's a beautiful movie :D it tells you about a journey of a mother and daughter name Vianne and Annouk. They moved to a small town, where everybody did the same thing, think the same way or influenced to think in the same way, and seemed like going to the same direction. for me, ignoring human's right to think by themselves. well, that happened because of the mayor. he loved the town so much that he didn't believe in changing and everything else than what had been going for years and years and years. The newcomers on the town didn't wanna 'follow the rule'. Vianne opened a chocolate shop. she served a lot of different kinds of chocolate, including hot chocolate. it's the first in time in town. not only because the smell was so delicious, Vianne also had an special ability to guess what's his customer favourite chocolate. and yet it changed many things at the town. something so small like chocolate ...

well, i've just watched this movie at my friend's house. and yes, i always like this kind of movie too :) it's based on a true story while a husband and wife gave shelter to an american-african boy who didn't have shelter, talk too much, and a bit confused about everything, 'big mike' Michael. they worked things out together as a family. from the deepest point until they finally reached out something. it's another prove that you can be anything, despite the past that has happened anyway. but it's your choice to be something else than drown by your own thought or fears. dan mungkin hidup itu bener2 balance, di satu sisi gue bisa denger manusia itu gila banget, ngajarin anjing buat jalan pake 2 kaki. dan abusif. oh c'mon coba mereka yg disuruh jalan pake 4 kaki all the way long. ngga ada logikanya yg kaya2 gituh, and don't ask about heart, they definitely don't have one. or it has a very different crazy direction. then in the other hand, you...
