Ruby Gloom

i was walking down at gramedia bookstore and suddenly found a children book entitled Ruby Gloom's Guide to Friendship. the book looks so different than other children books. there's gothic feeling and something cute about it. I opened the sample book and read through it. The contents are really great for children. It teaches them how to be friends with others. there're few how-to inside the book like 'don't judge people by it's cover', friends stick together, friendship is accepting, etc. And there are a really cute and funny illustration after one sentence. :D enjoyable book! a really unique book for children. :D there's another series of the book, but there's no sample so i didn't know about the other one, but i believe it's good also.

so after i googled her name, i found that Ruby Gloom is actually a tv series for children.

Plot Outline:

In a Victorian mansion on the outskirts of Gloomsville lives Ruby Gloom. Some kids might be afraid of the dark, the eccentric neighbours and the unknown things that dwell in the closet, but Ruby is different - she befriends these strange and sometimes scary creatures. In fact, Ruby finds them all delightful. She pays no attention to their unusual appearances, perceptive only to their hearts and souls. As Ruby likes to point out "Always look on the bright side - unless of course the dark side is your bright side and that's okay too!" Ruby's perfect day is a gloomy one, full of creativity and adventure with her offbeat circle of friends.

i grabbed that from facebook. search for her and like her :D i really love her and her friends. they're so adorable and perfectly cute. hehe. i love the illustration way also. that kinda reminds me of my own style. it's just more gothic than mine anyway. heheeheh. really happy to find this character. totally my new fave! *LOVE
