new thing

hi everyone, i'm doing freelancing jobs for avadesign singapore. so far, it's a great pleasure to work with someone who has great passion in design field and also teach the newbie how to do things.

as we all know, or if you don't know, making something to be printed is more than just designing it. there're a lot of technical problems that may 'limit' us. nah, they aren't suppose to limit us, just need to struggle a bit to have win win solution. hehe.

i believe that i'll learn so many things during this time. as i had too during my internship in bali. many things that i haven't learned at school and actually is something important at the industry. same goes here.

"bleed and space"

i was making an ad for magazine. have to do things with bleed and also the space to make the design. after add the bleed, we have to remember that there's still chance that the artwork or text cut by the binding. so we have to add more space after the bleed so nothing (i hope so) will be cut by anything. the bleed is quite large at the first time i see it, because usually i only do bleed for 1 - 3 mm. i've just known that not all machine is perfect, most of them aren't, so we have to make the bleed for 1 cm in each side, just to make it safe. so there it goes. :)

i'm having another project now, but the deadline is next week, so I'll have my weekend. yay! so far so good ;)
