tripping to ipoh day 2

good morning ipoh! so the journey was still on. we're now looking for a place to have dimsum as our breakfast. i like the city in early hours. the wind was still cold and the air was still fresh. nyummy~

so here we arrived at the restaurant. i forget what's the name. hmm...yah anyhow i didn't expect it to be a really nice restaurant. but i'm glad that it was. hehehe.

here's one part of our food. didn't take too many photos since we're all craving for food and everything was look delicious hehee..

my fave dessert! i forget what it's called but i called it bola bola wijen. something sweet inside :)

then we're preparing our things and check out from the hotel. we found a locker to put our things at ipoh parade. near parkson, there're few lockers. the sun is again quite striking but it's better than yesterday. 100yen store was in front of parkson, so we took another snack before going to old town area. RM5 for a bowl of snow ice. worth! :P

snow ice green tea. it's really good, but i don't like red beans

just love this kind of building!

so here we are, the old town area of ipoh. yes, it's the origin where the old town restaurant comes from. this city is famous with its ipoh white coffee. but personally i don't really like it. we tried this place as the recommendation of novia. the coffee was again make me wide awake. but the treasure for me was finding a super delicious caramel custard for only RM2. yay!

the kopitiam

caramel custard for only RM2

then we're heading to gunung lang. there're 2 options, using taxi or by bus. if you wanna go by bus, you have to go to the old bus stop, just asking any bus that pass by. then you have to take a kuala kangsar bus. it's the only bus with striking pink colour. really nice bus with aircond and the ticket was only around RM2. it didn't take too long, maybe 15 minutes on the road but we have to walk around 1km to gunung lang entrance.

me and my friends while waiting for the boat

this is our boat track. look quite long journey huh? not.

well, the site is good, maybe just to sit down and enjoy the surroundings. but i don't know, there's not much to see. the weather was quite humid also. and the boat ride is just like 5 minutes. i thought it'd be a quite long ride along the river with all those scenery and mountains around. damn. we only spent around 1 hour there and decided to go back to the city. we went back to the bus station then searched for another food, salted chicken. it's quite famous there.

and here's the place to buy it. it's said to be good one. actually there're many places that sell ayam garam (salted chicken). it's closed at 5 so we're in a hurry. another bad news, we can't eat there because they only serve for take away. so we found another place, another nearly closed place, to eat 2 box of ayam garam. we're really hungry that time. i didn't have the photo hehe. it's look like normal steamed chicken with quite good taste. but we didn't have rice so..it's only the first round of our dinner. hehe!

we spent another few hours then we're separating. 2 of my friends were going back to kl and 7 of us were going to melacca. we're spending time at ipoh parade while waiting for our bus to melacca at 12.45 midnight. here's the ending of our trip to ipoh.

well, it's a quite interesting place to visit, but not more than 2 days i think. hehe. quite hard to find a halal restaurant here. just only got few. and malaysian weather wasn't in a really good condition. one of my friends was catching cold. fyuhh~ we're moving to melacca now!

saying goodbye to ipoh the old town :)
